Welcome to the life of a modern Nomad !

This page is for everybody who is interested into the life of a modern Nomad. A modern Nomad. WTF is that. Well, a modern nomad is somebody who’s life is taking place “on the road” Nearly without a permanent residence. Well i am not a truck driver. I am not a Gypsy as well. I travel the world because of business reasons. There are many of my kind nowadays. But most of them don’t write about their life. Why? Because it does not have to do that much with reports from trips and vacations. Most of the time you are working. There is not that much to report. Well most of us just think that. And many get stuck in a daily routine and forget that they have a life as well. That’s what i want to avoid.

Therefore i am writing this Blog. You won’t hear much about my daily work life. That does not have anything to do with the basic idea of this Blog. But i will try to report about as many other things as possible. Working in a country leaves you with a completely different view compared to taking a holiday there for a short time.

Of course, the life of a startup engineer (my job) isn’t always that easy. But there are a few advantages. I don’t mean the financial ones. You have the unique chance to see a completely different side of a country by living and working there together with the locals. There are bad days and there are good days. Some countries are easy going, others you wanna leave as quick as possible even as a open minded person. Most of the times you don’t see the touristic stuff but sometimes you have the chance to combine the trip with some sight seeing.

What makes this life interesting is that you sweat in hot countries, you freeze in cold ones, you have to deal with the bureaucracy and you have to overcome difficulties of any kind every day. Most of the times it is fascinating and tiring at the same time.

What you will like is that i do not only like to travel. I also like to take pictures. My second profession. Within the Photo section you will find a lot of pictures from different countries in the world. Also i am not traveling on my own. Most of the time my girlfriend accompanies me on my trips. Something that makes the whole thing more enjoyable of course.

So if you are interested into the life of modern Nomads you are invited to participate in our trips by reading the stories. Don’t be afraid if some of the posts are in german. I am german but i am also an international fellow :)

Take care
